Role Overview
Proof Experiences is looking for a Director, People & Culture, to lead our P&C and talent departments. You’ll develop programs and initiatives that drive employee engagement and retention, bring our corporate values to life, cultivate a high-performance culture, and position Proof as an employer of choice. From building meaningful engagement strategies and evolving policies, to attracting top talent and developing high-impact growth programs, you’ll lead both the strategy and implementation of the full employee experience.
We’re looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking leader who can balance big-picture vision with hands-on delivery—someone who is as passionate about people as they are about creating smart, scalable systems to support them.
As a member of the Senior Leadership team at Proof Experiences, this position will report directly to the Chief Experience Officer (CXO).
What You'll Do
People and Culture
- You will lead the development of an annual strategic P&C plan including innovative programs and tools that drive employee engagement in authentic ways
- Administration of employee engagement surveys, including analysis of results
- Continuously improve the employee experience
- Lead the onboarding experience to ensure new employees feel supported, and connected from day one
- Developmentof employee recognition strategies that celebrate contributions, enhance engagement, and strengthen team culture
- Serving as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and managers, offering guidance on employee relations, team dynamics, and organizational development
- Effectively coaching executive and senior leadership in matters relating to people and HR processes to drive high performance and motivate all employees
- Maintain a strong pulse on employee sentiment through regular check-ins, feedback, and active listening to support a healthy and engaged workplace
Human Resources & Policy
- Lead and implement HR policies – workforce resourcing, on-boarding, employee engagement, compensation, training, benefits and performance management
- Advise on evolving provincial and federal employment laws, working to ensure Proof Experiences is compliant with all applicable laws and regulations, employee health and safety, employee relations etc.
- Provide strategic guidance on complex employee relations matters, supporting fair and timely resolution while mitigating risk – partnering with legal counsel where necessary
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in accordance with applicable laws and company protocols
- Champion the integration of inclusive and progressive policies that reflect evolving workforce needs (e.g., hybrid work, flexible benefits, wellness, parental leave)
- Work with Leadership to manage the company’s group benefits plan, including renewals, vendor relationships, employee communications, and plan enhancements
Corporate Recruiting
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes across all departments, ensuring efficiency, equity, and an exceptional candidate experience (includes working with external recruiters)
- Coach and support hiring managers in inclusive hiring practices, interview techniques, and decision-making processes
- Use data and recruitment metrics to analyze hiring trends, pipeline health, and identify areas for improvement
- Recommend and implement compensation strategies to ensure the organization stays competitive in the market, retains and motivates its top talent and provides fair and equitable compensation for staff
Field Recruiting Management:
- Lead field talent team
- Develop and oversee annual budget, activities and incentive programs
- Participate in new business opportunities for the field talent department including building & overseeing small staffing program budgets
- Provide strategic guidance on complex independent contractor relations matters, while helping reduce risk and ensure things are handled properly
Employee Performance Management & Professional Development:
- Manage and implement the Px Performance Management process including ongoing employee and manager feedback and overall talent development
- Coach managers and employees on performance management systems and development activities to facilitate positive team dynamics and the ability to deliver business results
- Propose and design programs to enable people development including leadership training, mentorship programs, learning from new hires / exit interviews, drawing insights from employee surveys
- Build the capacity of leaders across the organization by ensuring managers are invested in people development and equipped with the resources, skills and mindsets to effectively manage and develop their teams

What You've Done:
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in HR leadership, people & culture and talent acquisition
- Experience in an Agency setting, Experiential Marketing or Event Management industry is an asset
- Proven experience developing and leading HR strategies across the full employee experience lifecycle
- Proven track record in leading and scaling recruiting functions
- Experience in overseeing and managing compensation and benefit strategies
- Skilled in using people data and engagement metrics to drive organizational insights and improvement
- Exceptional leadership and coaching skills
- Experience managing HR budgets
